Someone asked me on Messenger,
“Madam! Are you keeping well?”
I replied,
“Managing… I mean, things are going pretty well!”
For the past three days, I have been down with fever and a severe cold. I haven’t slept well at night, my body and limbs have been aching, and on top of that, there has been an overwhelming load of work.
But just a little while ago, as I was clearing the mucus from my nose and mouth, a thought suddenly crossed my mind—
*“O Lord! How blessed we are! Without our even realizing it, our immune system is fighting countless battles on our behalf, keeping us healthy. And yet, how many of us ever stop to think about it?”*
When I said, “Things are going pretty well,” I suddenly realized how much divine grace lies hidden behind those simple words.
From our immune system to medicines, from digestive juices to the gentle, caring touch of our loved ones—there are so many unseen forces constantly working for our well-being.
And in that moment, my heart and soul overflowed with a profound sense of gratitude.
Perhaps being “well” is not something we should take for granted. It is a blessing woven together by the miraculous wisdom of our body, the care of others, the healing power of medicine, and above all, the grace of the Divine.
*How often do we pause to acknowledge all that is silently working to keep us going?*
