the sojourn of mbbs

Some moments in life are not planned; they are destined.
It was 21 August 1995 when I chose this path—the path of medicine, service, learning and lifelong responsibility.
Exactly 31 years and one month later, on 21 September 2026, my younger daughter stepped onto the same path.
I had never imagined that one day we would find ourselves in the same institution, on the same occasion, yet on opposite sides of the hall—I as a dignitary and she as a member of the audience, both witnessing the beginning of a new chapter.
It was indeed an emotional and deeply fulfilling moment for me.
I had the privilege of welcoming the new batch of MBBS and BDS students of 2026 into the KIMS family and wishing them a fulfilling journey ahead.
As they enter this beautiful yet demanding profession, I hope they learn not only to become excellent doctors, but also compassionate human beings—committed to healing, service, integrity and the welfare of society.
And for me, watching my daughter begin this journey has made the occasion even more special.
From choosing the path in 1995 to watching the next generation choose it in 2026—life has indeed come a beautiful full circle.
May they all become the best version of themselves and serve the nation and humanity with knowledge, humility and compassion.
Welcome to the world of medicine, dear young doctors and dentists. Your journey begins today. 🌿
